LASIK Walk Through

Restrictions After Surgery

• Most patients can go to work the day after LASIK.

• Do not squeeze your eyes for 1 week and do not rub your eyes for at least 3 months.

No eye makeup for 1 week (apply gently).

Take extra care when bathing and washing your face and hair to avoid getting soap and water in the eyes during the early healing period.

Do not use any eye drops or eye washes except as directed. Avoid tap water getting in your eyes for at least 2 weeks.

It is recommended that eye protection be worn while participating in active sports.

There are no restrictions on activities, but avoid rubbing or being hit in the eye.
