Kenneth D. Lipstock, M.D.
In 1995
Dr. Lipstock became the first surgeon
in Virginia to perform LASIK. Dr. Lipstock has performed LASIK
on patients from across the United States and Canada.
Dr. Lipstock
has the very unique distinction of being trained abroad in
LASIK by Luis A. Ruiz M.D., the inventor of the microkeratome
that made LASIK possible. Dr. Lipstock then went on with Dr.
Ruiz to found the International Center of Refractive Surgery
where they trained surgeons from across the United States
in advanced LASIK techniques. The years spent learning from
and teaching with Dr. Ruiz, the father of LASIK, have provided
Dr. Lipstock with an in-depth knowledge of the LASIK procedure
and a masterful surgical technique.
Dr. Lipstock is also an accomplished Cataract Surgeon. He is one of the only surgeons in Central Virginia to routinely perform the most advanced technique known as No Needle -- No Stitch -- No Patch Cataract Surgery. Thus the patient can see immediately, even before leaving the operating room!
Dr. Lipstock also cares for many patients with Glaucoma. He was one of the first surgeons in Virginia and the first in Richmond to routinely use laser surgery as the first line of defense against Glaucoma.
